7th gen iPad unable to AirPlay to tvOS 26

My 7th gen iPad is no longer able to AirPlay to my 3rd gen 4k Apple TV after the Apple TV automatically updated to tvOS 26. The video either spins on the iPad and shows nothing on the Apple TV or the video appears black with a circle slash underneath the progress bar and does not move.
