Audio delays in various TV apps such as NetFlix since updating to tvOS26

Since updating my AppleTV to os26 there is an annoying audio delay (lipsync issue) between video and audio. It’s seems to be worse on NetFlix and Amazon prime. Doesn’t seem to affect AppleTV+ so I know it’s not the other equipment such as the television or amp. The delay is also present through AirPods.

I'm also now seeing the same delay through my iPad since updating to ipadOS26. Even on AppleTV+

It was all fine before updating from OS18.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I don’t see any way to roll back the OS version.

iOS 26.0.1 seems to fix this issue for me. Please check everyone with the same issue.

havent had issues, if i did then my troubleshooting steps would be

pull the plug on the appletv and the wifi router and after 30sec let them start up again

with the ipad then Restart your iPad - Apple Support

Same lip sync issue only on netflix since updating to tv os 26. The issue is very widely reported on apple tv reddit as well. Very embarassing for apple to broke this almost perfect device:(

Same here with the latest generation AppleTV and tvOS 26. Audio is out of sync when using Netflix and AirPos Max. Audio output over the TV's loudspeakers is ok though. No other apps show the problem. So Disney+, Youtube, AppleTV and so in are fine.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes tried all of those. Although it’s connected via Ethernet cable to a gigabit network so WiFi is not used in this case.

Thats good that it’s been widely reported. I wonder if Apple actually monitor these forums and provide feedback? Or if anyone has actually called Apple and logged these issues 😢
