New iPhone: Limited music restore from older iPhone

I have a lot of music, over 9,000 songs. Some of that content is mine, not purchased from Apple Music. I don't use Apple Music.

Imagine my surprise when I set up my new iPhone 17 Pro, only to find much of my content, my own music, set as "not available in your country or region", with no direct way to restore this content from my older iPhone.

Why? These are mine, I should be able to restore them with this process.

Has anyone else run into this terrible problem? How did you resolve it?

iPhone 17 Pro, iOS 26

I’m expecting the exact same issue after upgrading to the 17 series. Perhaps it’s an issue with the phone? We’ve been waiting days for a reply here in all the threads but Apple support seems to be ignoring it.

Did it also create the issue on your old and other devices? My 13 series and Apple tablet have also been inflicted with this problem. All were fine after updating the iOS, but not after the phone change.

I tried the fixes offered elsewhere, but no joy.
