How To Set The Information Which Is Shown In General On The Finder App?

Unfortunate there is no universal setting...

Control Clicking in the header area you can customize your most often used ....

you can also drag around and re-order the sequence / or expand the size of each to hide what you find not useful

Just to clarify as it doesn't seem to have been stated directly.

The Defaults only changes folders that have never been opened. There isn't a global setting. Each folder has its own independent settings. Once you open a folder and change the settings, they remain set for that folder until you change them.

Yes. That's what I said. Although if you set your user folder, any new folders should. be the same.

That's bad.

Why is that bad? In the 10 years I've been on ASC, no one has asked how to turn all the details off.

Why? You can disable the details for a folder in list view but you would have to do so for every existing folder.

Sometimes folder and file names are too long then details columns cover some of the name. That's problematic sometimes.

I’ve not noticed that, but I don’t pay much attention to it.

If this is something new in Tahoe, I certainly wouldn’t have noticed. Except for Downloads, I don’t open folders much anymore.

Just to add, if you use Column or Icon view in the Finder you won't see the info.
