iPhone 15 plus mutes itself when held during power on

Ever since I’ve updated to iOS 26 my iPhone for some reason mutes itself when I turn it on while holding it but if I turn it on while it’s on a table it’s completely fine. I turn my phone off every night and turn it back on every morning and have never encountered this issue till I updated to iOS 26. The silent switch is completely clean and works just fine. I went through my settings to find if I have something turned on but didn’t find anything. I’m just wondering if this is a feature or bug with iOS 26 or some setting on my phone I’ve missed. Please let me know it’s driving me crazy.

Have you tried to force restart the iPhone to see if the issues persist

Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button.When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

I just force restarted my phone and it didn’t mute when it came back on. I’ll have to see tomorrow morning if it completely fixed the issue. Thank you for your reply!
