in iOS 26, why does my onscreen keyboard jump around ?

Anytime the onscreen keyboard pops up and you touch the shift key, the keyboard starts jumping up and down and is not usable. I have to cancel or quit whatever I was working on. Same behavior on iPad 14plus and iPad 9, both recently updated to iOS 26.0

I’m seeing the same issue on iOS/iPadOS 26.0. Whenever I tap the Shift key, the onscreen keyboard jumps up and down and becomes unusable. Restarting the device helps only temporarily. It happens on both my iPhone 14 Plus and iPad 9, so it seems to be a software bug with iOS 26. Hopefully Apple releases a quick update to fix it.
