What are "com.apple.netsrc" and "com.apple.flow-divert" doing on my Mac?

Hello everyone, some days ago my mouse started moving slow from time to time. It has occurred a moment ago again. In my activity monitor I notice the following:

[ctl com.apple.flow-divert id 2 unit 1]

[ctl com.apple.flow-divert id 2 unit 1]

[ctl com.apple.net.netagent id 3 unit 23]

[ctl com.apple.net.netagent id 3 unit 23]

[ctl com.apple.netsrc id 7 unit 17]

All of that under "networkserviceproxy" although I don't use proxies. Also on "dataaccessd":

[ctl com.apple.netsrc id 7 unit 53]

And there are some IP addresses I don't recognise when doing "netstat -na" on terminal, even with every network using software closed (like "Safari"). This is one of them: "2a05:d014:1776::c" which shows Amazon Data Services in Germany, and I don't live in Europe! Thank you for your time.

If you have any issue I would clarify that independent of what you recognize in activity Monitor/netstat or not.

This is a default process in the macOS . I use no mouse. I use no proxy.

Apple uses a hybrid cloud infrastructure, combining its own network of large data centers with services from

Amazon Web Services among others...

what exact mouse is this— if that is your issue(?)

Hello, thank you. When searching for "com.apple.netsrc" in Google, only hacked results appear for the Apple Communities for some reason. Is there any official information on what that string is, and why it only appears on those hacked results?

I'm using the official Apple Magic Mouse (I believe it's called) that came with my iMac. It's of the modern CPU (ARM).

"com.apple.netsrc" refers to a macOS system component related to Apple's <0xC2><0xA0>Net Service, which manages networking services on a Mac.

I would remove the mouse and set it back up; sue the cable connection.

Set up your Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, or ...

I booted into Safe Mode and it asked me for my password twice, is that normal? Also, I had just posted here on the Apple Store forums a post and for some reason it disappeared.

If Filevault is enabled, then yes that is normal.

If things work Ok while booted into Safe Mode, then that usually indicates an issue with third party installed software, or perhaps a login item.

Disable the Firewall since it will just cause you random problems. The average user has no need for the macOS Firewall.

Also, as others have mentioned there are a lot of odd sounding & even scary sounding things running in macOS normally (from Apple). And various macOS components may be utilizing other macOS components which at first glance may appear completely unrelated. Only Apple developers truly know anything about such things, the average user & the Internet generally has no clue about most of them...including third party developers.

Hello, thank you. When searching for "com.apple.netsrc" in Google

There's a recipe for disaster. The only responses you will find are scammers trying to get you to pay them to "fix" the incredibly evil "spyware" some evil hackers managed to install onto your Mac even though that is nearly impossible.

, only hacked results appear for the Apple Communities for some reason.

What are "hacked results?"

Is there any official information on what that string is

Apple doesn't provide any official information on much at all.

What are "com.apple.netsrc" and "com.apple.flow-divert" doing on my Mac?
