Apple TV won’t play after screensaver appears

My Apple TV won’t play what I was watching when I come back to it after screensaver appears. Also it is set to sleep after 15 minutes which it doesn’t do. The only way I can stop this is to restart it but that only lasts for a day or 2. Anyone have any ideas?
