The glass UI is so unuable and looks very ugly. Can we disable it?
You can’t turn it off, however;
Open Settings ➢ Accessibility ➢ Display & Text Size, then toggle Reduce Transparency = on.
Also in Settings ➢ Accessibility ➢ Motion, then toggle Reduce Motion = on.

NO. You can reduce the effect by opening Settings > Accessibility - Display & Text Size and turn on Increase Contrast and Reduce Transparency. But turn it off, you cannot do as it's hard coded into iOS 26 and is part of the operating system.
Personally, I LOVE Liquid Glass!
Nope. Lots of discussions on this site and suggestions to minimize the effect. One of the many examples:

Sadly, we can’t but as there are many people who want an option to disable liquid glass, you could send feedback. In the meantime, you can tone down glass effects. See Smilin-Brian’s post on this farther down.
