macOS Tahoe spotlight and app issues, dark mode widgets

Hi, I recently updated to Tahoe and I don't if I'm the only one facing these issues, but here's what I've noticed so fat:

  1. Spotlight search sometimes lags, and the app I've been searching for do not show up.
  2. When trying to open an app using spotlight, for example terminal, there's this weird glitch that keeps the app opening even after I close the app. Like terminal kept on reappearing even after closing it and the spotlight was kinda stuck at the terminal search. I had to open app launcher and open another app and that helped, but in a recent case even that didn't help.
  3. I was backing up my phone to my Mac and when I tried going full screen on the finder window it filled only part of the screen and the remaining areas was black screen.
  4. I've dark appearance and default theme, but the widgets are apparently not in dark mode. Kinda felt redundant and confusing.

I know most of these are just some glitches because of the new macOS. Just putting these here so that hopefully some developers can fix them in a coming update.

Cheers!

Regarding your #4, this behavior is controlled by System Settings > Appearance > Icon & widget style. It applies to both Mac widgets and widgets synced with an iPhone. If set to Default, you'll get white backgrounds on calendar widgets, black backgrounds on stocks widgets, etc. Set it to Dark if you want them dark. Note that this does not affect every element of every widget. Also, note that this setting also controls the appearance of the Dock icons.
