Fixing performance issues with IOS 26 or is roll back to IOS 18 possible?

Since upgrading to IOS 26, my iPhone 15 Pro performance is terrible. It frequently tells me it’s not connected to the internet when it is, the animation on the phone is sluggish, opening and closing apps is noticeably slow and jerky.

Appearance wise, it looks terrible. The keyboard is also not as accurate when typing. Apple always prides itself on design, but the amount of off centre, unbalanced design is jarring.

is it possible to roll back? Or is there a fix to improve the performance of my phone - it’s not acceptable as it stands.

these forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going to a physical apple store and asking other customers there advice

things I would try as troubleshooting would be

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

and just set it up with the same apple account and not use a backup from prior to see if the data foundation were somehow to blame

This is a user helping users with tech questions forum, we are not apple

and apple do not read your posts here

Apple set up iPhones and iPads so that they are like certain species of sharks which allegedly must keep swimming forwards, or die. Once you upgrade from one production version of iOS or iPadOS to a higher one, there's no going back.

If you have just updated your iPhone, you might want to give it a couple of days to see if things get better. After an update, there may be a period during which the phone is performing various maintenance and updating tasks in the background.

That’s nice you aren’t experiencing issues. However my question is about the poor performance I am experiencing. Keyboard sticking while typing, alerts I’m not connected to the internet when I am, slow/jerky open and closing of apps. Additionally, rendering of apps in folders is erratic. They are not always visible until the folder is opened and the delay is noticeable.
