Did they remove the setting to always allow paste in 26?

We used to be able to change it to always allow paste from other apps, the only setting that makes any sense. Now in iPadOS 26 it seems to be gone. That’s the world’s most annoying “security” blocker. Why else would a user copy something from one app and paste it into another? That’s a rhetorical question.

This is incredibly annoying and doesn’t make any sense: if I copy (myself) a URL from Safari and then pasting it (myself) into Reminders, what exactly am I confirming here? The app doesn’t do anything. And what’s funny: it happens only if I’m using the paste button on the iPad’s software keyboard, but not when I’m using context menu. This makes me hopeful that 26.1 will address this, as it’s clearly a bug, not a privacy measure.
