The Finder extension to send something using Mail is actually just that. Mail, with a capital M, is the app Mail. It is not any email client or website. Firefox and/or Gmail would have to provide a Finder extension to allow you to attach a Finder item to a web-based email message.

In Finder 26 the share selection with a file selected does n’t have “mail” which should have been Firefox Gmail.
