“Unable to Play” error on certain episodes of purchased tv series

I purchased a season of a tv show and now have three episodes that come up with the error Unable to Play. Any ideas on how to get those episodes? I have tried going to iTunes and downloading them but it doesn’t fix it. I can watch them on my iPad but not on the Apple TV app on the TV.
