I've got Sequoia 15.5 and accept all updates offered. The previous frequency of demand for a typed password rather than the usual fingerprint was perhaps every 2-3 days. Now it happens 2-3 times a day! How did this happen, and is there any frequency choice I can select?

The article doesn't help: Touch ID is working between the forced password requests, but the password requests are coming about 10x as often as before. What we need to adjust is a "time between password verifications" setting that we can't find.
