iPhone Upgrade Program - Trading in phone with cracked screen
My wife preordered an iPhone 17 Pro that will be delivered today. Her current iPhone 16 Pro has a cracked front screen. What I'm trying to figure out is whether we need to have her 16 Pro repaired first before sending it back. I know we'll have to pay the fee either way, but I'd rather just send the phone back as in and pay the fee then schedule an appointment, have it fixed, and then send it back. I tried asking Apple Support chat, but I couldn't get a clear answer.
