Tahoe Music does not remember audio output setting

Prior to installing Tahoe I used to listen to music on my Homepod which is in my living room next to my study. I also play Final Fantasy in the study and use the speakers attached to my Mac Studio and this worked well.

With Tahoe I can only use the Homepod or my speakers, not both. In Music I select the Homepod in the controls at the bottom of the screen and music plays to the Homepod. If I change the setting in Sound to point at my speakers so I can play Final Fantasy, the Homepod cuts out and music plays to my speakers.

It seems as if there is no way to specify which audio output to use in Music which will stick.

Is it possible to revert Music to the previous release?
