Tahoe 26 has activated an unwanted feature!

I need advice on how to resolve this issue.

When I installed Tahoe 26, the synchronization of Documents and Desktop with iCloud was enabled by the system. Two folders with the aforementioned names were created in iCloud and the original folders on the Mac were renamed with the addition of -Local.

How can I remove the folders from iCloud as they cannot be deleted and restore the original folder names on my Mac?
