Blink Home Monitor app from Apple App store is requiring email password before installing

I was attempting to download and install the Blink Home Monitor app from Apple App Store. Before it will install it is asking for my email password. Is this app corrupt or malware?

If you mean before the app has been installed on your Home Screen and you did not tap Open in the App Store after it was installed or launched the app from the Home Screen, then it is Apple asking for your password. For convenience you do have the option of Touch ID/FaceID for verification, but at times the Password is still required.
