macOS 15.7 performance issues and app instability after update

I have noticed that after updating my iMac 27 Kk computer with 32GB of RAM, it is throttling much more than before, even after indexing. Many of my apps are acting erratic and not responding as they did with macOS 15.6.1. A Perhaps another patch is needed for the 15.7 upgrade. I don't want to upgrade to Tahoe just yet, because there are still too many bugs, and I will wait until all those are worked out. Perhaps 3-4 months from now.

Do you have a question?

I don't have an iMac, but 2 MacBook Pros and one has 15.7 and I updated the other to Tahoe. In both cases there was minimal impact on lagging while opening apps for about a day and a a half. Since yesterday, everything has been back to normal.

Have you tried a Safe Boot to see if you are experiencing a conflict with a third party processes running on startup. Of course you can expect problems if you have installed Antivirus, Cleaners (such as CleanMyMac), or a VPN.

I'm experiencing the same issue; my computer was excellent prior to updating to macOS Sequoia 15.7.2 as per the Adobe Suite recommendation, but I haven't been able to work for the past two days. The update made my computer very slow and causes my mouse to malfunction, crashes, launches other apps, and takes a long time to start. I tried everything, including updating my programs, deleting the files on my computer, and rebooting, but nothing helped. I don't advise anyone to update to macOS Sequoia 15.7.2 because I believe the software just wrecked my iMac.
