Shuffling a Music playlist plays an entire album before picking another on Mac

I have many playlists created from dozens of different albums. When I shuffle-play on my iPhone (latest iOS, and before), it shuffles the individual songs. Now on my Mac, it randomly picks the first song, which appears to be the first song in an album, and then plays the entire album, before randomly choosing another album. I think this started in Sequoia, but I honestly haven't shuffled playlists on the Mac until I recently went back to manually playing from my own library (no longer using "cloud" Music - don't get me started...).

I would like to have "shuffle" act on the individual songs and not the albums.

2023 Mini (M2 Pro chip), just updated to Tahoe, but I noticed this behavior/difference [from iOS] a few weeks ago.
