AirPods Pro Gen 2 right earbud mismatch and sound pending issue

Yesterday I believe I misplaced my right airpod (pro 2nd gens) in the gym. I went to class this morning and checked my find my app, which would not report where they were, indicating that they were not "fully set-up". Mind you, I've had these airpods for months, and the only main change has been me upgrading from and iPhone xr to a 16e a few weeks ago. I've had no issues using them or pairing them. So, I used (because my find my app couldn't identify them) https://www.icloud.com/find/ , and I am able to identify the location of my airpods. However, it is showing the location of where my case is (with me), and will not show me the individual airpod locations. I was, however, able to play sound through them (via find my). Despite this, I went to my next class (gym) and unfortunately my find my app refused to play the sound (exact message reads: Sound pending.... You will receive a notification when this accessory connects to a paired device). So, I went to the gym and attempted to play a loud sound through my airpods (took the left one out of my case and the audio was coming through), but my phone refused to connect to my right one.

I now have my right airpod and case, the find my app wont play sound (sound pending), and I don't know how to identify my individual airpods.

Also my find my app is saying my "Airpods Setup is Incomplete", and that there is an "Airpods Mismatch (some parts are not findable)"

I understand that some parts are not findable.

What is my next best move to find this?

note: these airpods are also paired to my moms phone, and she was able to make sound come out of them this morning. however, we are now both seeing the pending sound issue.
