Since updating to iOS 26 Lock Screen notifications appear as white text on black - how do I revert to black text on white (BTW I have never used Dark Mode) - Peter

It seems like that or dark mode is on, or that you have reduced the transparency of the Liquid Glass effect
See if this feature is on: Go to Accessibility · Tap 'Display & Text Size' · Then toggle on 'Reduce Transparency'.
You might want to turn this off or tweak with the setting to see if the issues persist
Dark mode off ( toggled on > shut down > restarted > toggled off no change!)
Did exactly the same with reduce transparency and no change.

I have exactly the same problem and, for me, it's huge as I have vision problems and it means it's really hard to see the text. I've fiddled with every setting I can find and no change.
