There's seemingly another dependency at work, since some people see the option in the Apps / Spotlight window and others do not. I notice that the System Settings > Spotlight option states, "Allows items and their contents to appear in Spotlight," and I wonder if once indexed, the option is available in the Apps/Spotlight window regardless of the setting in System Settings. In my case, the (•••) gives the option to Show iPhone Apps regardless of the toggle setting in System Settings > Spotlight.

It appears that the option SHOULD be there, based on the entry in the User Guide for Tahoe

Navigate in Spotlight

  1. On your Mac, click  in the Dock or click  in the menu bar and then press ⌘-1.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Move to another app: Press an arrow key.
    • Filter by category of app: Click a category along the top of the apps window, such as Productivity & Finance.
    • Choose a different view: Click , then choose Grid or List. You can also choose to show iPhone apps.

Short answer - No

This application is Built Into the Operating System

I believe what the OP means is the apps that are on the iPhone, not the Phone app. For example, in your screenshot, the Bell app. Note the little phone icon at the bottom right.

If you have a lot of apps on your phone, having them clutter up the search for apps on your Mac can be a bit annoying.

I'm going to look at it again tonight and play with some of the settings.

re: more—

Did you launch the iPhone Mirroring.app on your Mac...(?)

If the user meant Phone app built into Tahoe , then that is what they should have written

I have yet to achieve the " Mind Reading " abilities.

Though, I may try to develop this , at some time in the distance future

As it stood, it could mean this or it could stand for that

I used my regular if somewhat in need of corrective lenses eyeballs. The iPhone badges on the app icons were the relevant item.

Thank you! What a terrible decision by Apple to change LaunchPad in this manner. I had created useful groups of Apps to minimize clutter, it gave me a nice, full screen, etc. Your great tip did let me get rid of my iPhone Apps that I didn’t need. Unfortunately, now when I have a virtual meeting, I need to look all over the place to find the platform for the meeting , Zoom, Teams, etc.

Have you tried using Spotlight? Hitting command-space then typing "Z" brings up Zoom as the first entry. All I have to do is hit enter and it launches. Zoom is easy because there aren't that many app names that start with Z. You might have to type a couple more letters for some things. For Teams, I have to type "Te."

There are other options in including AppLauncher in the App Store and something called Launchie:

Regardless of how you decide to proceed, you should let Apple know your thoughts here:
