Download a folder from iCloud

Hi, I need to download a folder (containing several sub-folders) from my iCloud. Download option is active when files are selected but not when folders are.

I'm using Firefox on a PC. Everything is up-to-date. I'm used to Google Drive interface, I did not expect this.

Should I consider this normal? How do I download a folder from my iCloud account? I've found a workaround on reddit but it goes through Data download on privacy.apple.com. I guess that's not the only way since I'd be downloading almost 5GB instead of the roughly 50MB I actually need from my storage.
