On MacOS Tahoe the language switching is broken again. When you switch language you need to wait until animation is completed. Otherwise you will type first letter with current language and following letters will be with previous language.
Possible workaround is to completely disable language switch in settings and use LangSwitch app.

I just found or Reddit the solution that speed up things a bit, but it still doesn't work well for me.
Uncheck: Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> MissionControl -> QuickNote (Globe+Q)
If globe key is slow, try control space (or caps lock if it's between Latin and non Latin layouts) instead
