Stop iPhone Screenshots Saving To Macbook

I've seen this brought up by a couple of other people, but the thread always gets shut down before anyone can write any useful advice.

Every time I take a screenshot on my iPhone or iPad, it automatically saves to my laptop as a PDF.

iCloud access to my photos is off. Universal Clipboard is off. And yet, it still happens every single time.

Does anyone have any solutions to this? It's extremely, extremely annoying.

Well, for a start, can you tell us what iPhone you're using and the iOS? How are you taking the screenshot? Does the screenshot show up in Photos on the phone? Where do you find the pdf on the Mac?

When I take a screenshot, using the first method here:

Take a screenshot on iPhone - Apple Support

I use Share to AirDrop it to my Mac, or I let iCloud handle it. With AirDrop, it arrives as a jpg in my Downloads folder. How about for you?
