Question

i can no longer use touch id to log into my apple tv or music account

Because the content is so limited on Apple TV, I went to cancel the service however Touch ID doesn't work and apparently my password that I wrote down has changed ( I don't remember what it is) and I don't want to have to spend the next 30 days trying to change the password in every app controlled by apple. Is the Touch ID supposed to work when signing into my Apple TV account? or my Apple Music account? It would be nice to be able to save this in the keychain, I mean password app, I mean what ever apple has done with passwords now?

If you have an operating (and “signed-in”) Trusted Device, you can STILL reset your Apple Account password …

… even if you no longer remember it.

If your iOS is below 17 or so, it won’t let you login on the device.

My solution to this was to use a BT apple keyboard To enter the Apple ID password

I can do it on iOS 18 and above, it asked me to log back into my Apple Music account, and I was able to do it on my iPhone SE second edition.

I have recovered forgotten Apple ID passwords, they make you jump through some hoops, it is easier if you have a few Apple devices that have recent operating systems, A notification will be sent to those devices
