Safari compact layout not working properly

Hi, just today started to have some issues with tabs on Safari in my MacBook Pro, macOS 15.7. I use tabs in compact layout and never had a problem, but as today, tabs are not closing when clicking the x button , trying to edit the url of the website, or refreshing the page. When using it on Separate tab layout, everything works fine.

Anyone noticing this too?
