Removing iCloud tabs from sidebar

So I just updated to 26 across all my devices and have just found that whilst I can turn off iCloud tabs on the main screen of my browser I can’t turn it off in the sidebar on my IPad Pro from 2020 or my Apple Mini 5. See below for what I mean.

The only way to remove it from the menu is to stop syncing Safari it seems which is counter intuitive as I do want to synchronise my bookmarks. Is there some other way I have missed?
