How to remove the search bar on iMessage screen in iOS 26?

Is there anyway to remove this annoying search bar on the bottom of the iMessage screen?

That is not specific to iOS 26, it has been that way since iOS 16. You can send feedback to Apple if you wish:

Wish they’d remove the search at the bottom of almost all the apps, messenger, notes, contacts etc. It’s super annoying when you scroll and use the bottom edge of the screen as your reference point.
