Does anyone know why the iOS 26 games app dosnt work for me. It just keeps on loading. I am not on the beta and I u installed it and reinstalled it. Thanks

So I figured out the issue on my end. I have NordVPN and even if it is not activated they have a feature that is called “threat protection”, it is turned on automatically in the bkgd even if you turn it off, UNLESS you turn off the “connect on demand” option. Anyway the games app is now working perfectly fine. Not sure if I’m alone with this particular set up on my phone but wanted to share what worked for me. Good luck 🍀

Is lockdown mode turned on? The games app and arcade games work for me if I turn off lockdown mode, but won’t work at all if lockdown mode is on.
Yes it is working if your lockdown mode turned on then turn it off . After turning it off games app and all the games are working .
I am having an issue where none of my games will get beyond loading screen after the update to IOS 26. Temple run won’t load, Lego Star Wars or Fallout Shelter either. They begin to start up and then the games completely freeze. I’m on iPhone 13. I think it’s the same problem as this person, my games app will not load and I believe it’s the cause.
Force restart doesn’t work, uninstalling and reinstalling the games doesn’t work either. Something is broken.
Same stuff: no games for me on the iOS 26 (iPhone 15 pro max) with the lockdown mode on. I want both lockdown mode on and games working! It used to work, so make it work again, dear Apple team! I can’t afford compromised security and no opportunity to distract myself with games sometimes.
I’m having the same issue. Still doesn’t work. I’ve done all the usual stuff like restarting, force quitting, uninstalling, reinstalling. Still can’t see more than the main thumbnail on top of the screen when clicking on a game. I have tried turning off WiFi, using 5g etc etc. On the main Home Screen I only get a grey square. I also get randomly “cannot connect” on the main screen when I don’t get the grey square. Fun having a paid for service that you can’t use. Btw I’m running an iPhone 16 plus.
Yes I do have lockdown turned on. Lots, my games won’t work very well even though I have had it on before iOS 26 and much before. Did they change lockdown mode a bit or are these bugs. As when I turn it off and settings just for that app it doesn’t work and I have to do the full lockdown or turn off.
