Did macOS 26 remove the compact tabs in Safari

They did remove the Safari Compact Tabs in both macOS 26 and iPadOS 26. I don't know why. It's horrendous!

They also removed Launchpad in macOS 26, where I had nicely organized my apps in category folders. We are now back to a pre-Launchpad list of apps.

I just realized that tabs are gone in Maps in macOS 26. I cannot have several maps open simultaneously now.

Maybe there are other 'surprises', too, which I have yet to discover.
