Can I get Apple Digital Master audio when ripping a CD and transferring to iPhone?

I bought a track from the iTunes Store and it has the Apple Digital Master. Soon after I bought the album that the track was from on a CD. I want to know if I can rip the CD to iTunes and then transfer it to my phone and still get the Apple Digital Master audio.

If you have a subscription to the Apple Music service then it can potentially match your CD rip with the Apple Music Digital Master version, allowing you to access Apple Lossless versions of the tracks. You can also rip the CD using the Apple Lossless codec and sync those files directly to your phone. If you can tell the difference (and it is an improvement) you can keep the iTunes Store purchase in your library and ignore the copy of that track ripped from the CD.
