Update Not Being Seen:

Looking at the System Status site of Apple, there is an issue with the App Store app, as of this reply, but not with macOS Software Update. So, being provided through the App Store, then that may be what is occurring here. Point Being: Try later on, when there is a green light.

The current stable release of Sequoia including bug fixes, security updates is macOS 15.7

you can try starting the download then bail out.

Now try your Command R to reload the Software Update pane. Rinse and repeat until macOS26 presents itself if that is whta you want.

Too my Network Traffic on your Local ISP:

It's probably a matter of Supply & Demand. With one current event going about (and I'm not going to mention it), my cable box is flickering a station. There is only so much that broadband can handle. Having just been released, many are trying to download it. So, you might want to try Ethernet. This would be such an adapter to use for your Mac: Belkin USB-C to 2.5Gb Ethernet Adapter - Apple
