Macbook Air M2 can't update macos26 tahoe

MacOS 26 Tahoe can be installed on all M-series Macs. With that Software Update screen open, try pressing Command-R to refresh and see if it offers you macOS 26. If not, try rebooting your Mac then try again. If still no, try booting in Safe Mode and check for the update.

Update Not Being Seen:

Looking at the System Status site of Apple, there is an issue with the App Store app, as of this reply, but not with macOS Software Update. So, being provided through the App Store, then that may be what is occurring here. Point Being: Try later on, when there is a green light.

The App Store has the macOS versions, whereas the macOS Software Update has the updates.

The current stable release of Sequoia including bug fixes, security updates is macOS 15.7

you can try starting the download then bail out.

Now try your Command R to reload the Software Update pane. Rinse and repeat until macOS26 presents itself if that is whta you want.

"i already try download 15.7 from app store it's also failed. but again, my internet connection it's stable & working fine"

It's probably a matter of Supply & Demand. With one current event going about (and I'm not going to mention it), my cable box is flickering a station. There is only so much that broadband can handle.
