Journal app on IPadOS 26 very broken after creating handwritten journal entry

After trying out the new feature on the journal app to handwrite a journal entry with my Apple Pencil pro (iPad pro M4 11inch) the journal app is extremely slow and keeps stuttering, even when I open it on my phone now (iPhone 16 pro max).

It’s almost like after creating a handwritten note the app got overloaded or something, like it can’t handle the handwritten entry…

that’s a bummer because I was fully ready to switch from goodnotes to Apple’s journal app :(

Ps.: the color wheel/color palette keeps glitching out, too. The little circle on the bottom right will disappear and move over to the top left, overlapping with the one on the top left (in a very glitchy way)…
