Signed up to Apple Music by mistake. Want my music back in Itunes

Yesterday I discovered that a couple of tracks on an album I'd bought did not play in iTunes. Advice on the net told me to download the Apple Music app to see if they would play there. (They didn't.) Now I discover that my music is no longer in ITunes and that my iPod Classic won't sync with Apple Music. I use my iPod all the time for music listening and am distraught at the thought of not being able to do this any longer. Is there any way I can get the music library back into ITunes? Also, I am worried that if I can't do this and I now sync the iPod with iTunes to update my podcasts, I will lose all the music now on the Ipod. I am also not aware that I agreed to pay anything for Apple Music but it seems that it is not free. I'm very cross and upset. Help please.

If you downloaded the Apple Music app for windows,. then you also need to download the Apple Devices app to sync with devices like your iPod.

With that said, you can remove Apple Music entirely, and iTunes will return to Tull functionality and display your music again. The music has not been removed from iTunes, it's only hidden while Apple Music or any of the other stand alone Apple apps is installed.

Thanks for your response. I think I read that iPods won't sync with Apple Music.

As I said, to sync with devices when you have the Apple Music App installed, you need the Apple Devices app. The Apple Music app itself does not sync with anything.

I'm still a bit wary about deleting this so I'm hesitating to take the plunge and follow your advice. I don't suppose you know why the 2 tracks on the album I bought won't play??? It was this problem that led me to download Apple Music in the first place

No, the 2 unplayable tracks is a mystery, but uninstalling Apple music will not have any effect on your library.

Apple Music is still a bit undercooked, and for best results it's still recommended to stay with iTunes.
