In my new apple watch 10 optimized charging limit does not work

First of all, it was charging to full capacity after half an hour or one hour . Location service was activated according to thhis: If Optimised Battery Charging won’t activate – Apple Support (UK

i waited for approximately 3 weeks (at home)

Then I made a reset for the location services and resetting the significant locations. Then after 14 days at home 🏡 or so and 2 updates Watch os 11 optimized charging began to work.

Which means that charging stopped after a  time at about  80% and then continuing to 100% so it was full overnight until 6 o’clock or so . The charge status at the end of the day showed between 60 and 70%. This is the  status , when I begin to charge every night . But now after this, it stays on optimize charging

But not optimized charging LIMIT. The only way of switching the setting is switching on and off “optimize charging limit.” there is no button for “optimized charging. “

When I turn off “optimized charging limit”, it charges fast between half and one hour  to 100%. Turning on  the button “optimized, charging limit“ only activates “optimized charging,” and so optimize charging limit does not happen!

Of course, a sign for active optimized charging limit, which is this open circle never appears ! see picture ( this sign never appears !

any experiences to help appreciated!(i restarted iphone and watch .. didnt help

i resetted the watch completely also an did not restore the backup)

The 80% charge stop point is automated, based on the watch learning how you use and charge it on a rolling basis. My watch (Series 9) sometimes gives me a stop at 80% for one or two days, or every day for about a week, or sometimes direct to 100% for many days at a time.

You might also see some changes after the OS 26 updates tomorrow but I’m expecting it might start the learning again from scratch.

  • Optimized charging only works in familiar locations like you mentioned.
  • Optimized charging takes time to learn your charging habits. Best to maintain a normal schedule of only changing all night, every night. Give it 2 weeks like you did previously where you saw it working.
  • Optimized charging will only be enabled when the algorithm determines you will not be using your watch for an extended period of time.
  • Some days the watch will still charge to 100% for calibration.
  • While not documented, in my experience after an update the algorithm relearns your behavior before being Optimized again.
  • Switching Optimized Charging off/on or altering your routine is just going to increase the learning time.
