How can I recover a disappeared notes from my iPhone?

I opened my notes app yesterday, and found that a super important thread had just vanished.

I’ve tried everything that I researched online:

Theres no “Recently Deleted” folder, just a blank note with no title.

My phone is up to date.

I restarted my phone.

I thought maybe there wasn’t enough storage, so I freed some up and still nothing.

I checked iCloud because I had the Notes app synced, and there’s nothing there either.

It’s not on my iPad or MacBook either.

Would Apple Support be able to restore it?

I also have a similar problem. Most of my notes are available but a couple of important notes have vanished from client devices and iCloud with none appearing as Deleted items.

Have you recently canceled an email account, or disabled it on your phone. Notes sync to email servers (except for “on my iPhone” notes), and will be removed if the account the note is tied to is removed.

I have been experiencing persistent issues with Apple Notes since iOS 18, and the situation has worsened after updating to iOS 26. Several handwritten notes have disappeared or display only the title upon opening. In addition, images within certain notes no longer appear on some devices, further exacerbating cross‑device inconsistencies. My Notes library is approximately 1.5 GB, and many entries are now unusable or show conflicting versions across devices. This inconsistency has significantly impacted reliability, and the app is no longer usable with confidence.
