Messages alert stating “You removed the name from the conversation” when I have not.

Why does my phone keep removing the name of the conversation in group text messages? I will name the group and sometime later, unprompted by me, my phone will have removed the group message name: “You removed the name of the conversation.”

Other users have renamed the group and the my phone will automatically remove the name from the conversation.
