MacBook Air screen goes black when not plugged

I’ve recently been getting an issue where my MacBook Air 2020 goes has become unusable jf not plugged. The screen goes blank, even though the battery is 70% or so.

i created a new user account and the issue doesn’t happen there, so it’s obviously a glitch with the user account. My question is: If I open a backup on the new profile, will this import the glitch on there?
