App store wants me to pay again

I purchased an app last year and used it for a couple weeks before deleting it. I went to download it again and it’s asking me to pay for it. I found it under my paid app purchases and reported it to Apple four times now over the past two weeks. They say within 48 hours I should hear back. I’ve heard nothing back from them. The app was $6.99 when I purchased it last year and now it’s $8.99. I’m wondering if that’s the issue. Same Apple ID I’m using now and the app is easily found in my past purchases. There is only one of these apps so it’s the exact same one.
