Sudden unjustified crack in screen's lower bezel of Macbook Air M2!!!!

Out of a sudden noticed a hairline crack that has appeared in the screen's lower bezel of Macbook Air M2. No physical mishandling incident! It just cracked in the middle of the day, when working, it was not there in morning & it appears by noon! What is surprising is that one cannot reply in that thread anymore!!

Having raised the issue to Apple Store - Bangalore they said it's physical damage and nothing can be done but they offered to document the assessment so it can be escalated further to Apple Support India by calling their number, having done that within 1 day they also replied the same, despite giving reference of the community article that has more than 100s of comments and 325+ Me too confirmations!!! Isn't this a clear case of bezel material quality issue with Macbook Air M2? And if so, has anyone been able to get this fairly addressed given that it is not a customer's fault that is causing it?
