Cannot set up Apple Music Family Sharing with Verizon perk on iPad and MacBook
I'm hoping to get some help with an issue I'm having setting up Family Sharing for Apple Music.
I have a MacBook Air M2 (macOS 15.6.1), an iPad Mini 4 (iPadOS 15.8.4), and a Google Pixel 8 Pro (Android 16). I recently purchased three new iPhone 16 Plus phones for my family. This came with a Verizon perk, Apple Music Family. The subscription is active and visible in my Apple account, and the service works perfectly on my MacBook Air and my Android phone.
The problem is I am completely unable to set up Family Sharing. On my iPad, when I click continue, and on my MacBook, when I click set up family, I get the same error message, "Cannot Complete Action - This action cannot be completed at this time." I've tried restarting each device, ensuring all devices have the latest operating system updates, logging out and back into my Apple account on both my MacBook and iPad, and logging out and back into the Apple Music app on my Android phone.
My goal is to get Family Sharing working so my family members can all use the Apple Music perk. I'm hitting a roadblock and can't seem to figure out if the issue is with my Apple account, my devices, the Apple Family Sharing service itself, or the connection between Verizon and Apple Music. Has anyone experienced a similar issue, especially with a carrier provided Apple Music subscription? Any guidance or potential next steps would be greatly appreciated.
