Music is now missing from my icloud account

I realised that a recent album purchase, which is showing in Music on my iMac, hadn't synch'd with either my iPad or iPhone. I signed in to my icloud account hoping to find more information, but found that Music is no longer showing there at all. Can anyone help with what could have happened and how to get Music (and all my songs etc) featuring in my icloud account again? Thank you in advance.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 13.6

iCloud is an umbrella term for a set of Apple services that allow for syncing of photos and data between your Apple devices. It is separate from your iTunes store account, or any iTunes Match or Apple Music subscription you might have.

Purchases from the iTunes Store are in AAC/.m4a format. Any unhidden, undownloaded content will normally be shown in your library allowing you to stream or download on demand. For reasons unknown sometimes recent purchases will be hidden from your purchase history. Check the view menu to make sure that you haven't selected Only Downloaded Music. If needs be see Hide and unhide music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and books - Apple Support to unhide any hidden content and Redownload music - Apple Support to download it to local storage.

Are you syncing with all music, or selected playlists? You can set up different options for different devices. If you're syncing with selected playlists are these particular track included in what should be synced. I think I've inferred that you are not using either the Apple Music or iTunes Match subscription services, but am I correct in that assumption? If you were then tracks could potentially sync from local storage to an iPod classic but not sync via the Sync Library cloud service because they have been excluded for reasons unknown. Should it be relevant an iCloud Status column in the Songs view might give hints there.

Thank you turingtest2 - I was expecting music to be stored within my icloud account too, but I was wrong about that.

The album I downloaded (from Bandcamp, not the iTunes Store on this occasion) is visible across my library of songs, artists and albums in the Music app on my iMac, and it has successfully synchronised on to my iPod Classic. The View menu on my iMac is set for All Music. However, the album/artist/songs don't appear at all on my iPhone or my iPad, despite numerous attempts to synch it from my iMac. It is visible in the 'Recently Downloaded' section on my iMac, but missing from the 'Downloaded' section on my iPhone and iPad. I'm baffled as to why the album was successfully downloaded from Bandcamp on to my iMac and then transferred on to my iPod, but not on to the iPad or iPhone. I've checked in case it was hidden, but it wasn't. Any further ideas would be gratefully appreciated!

Thank you, this is much appreciated. I've checked the link (thanks for that) and nothing is greyed out. Perhaps I need to remove the album and then download it again from scratch. If I could use my iPod Classic to drive the Cyrus amp it wouldn't matter that the album wasn't showing up on the other 2 devices, but my elderly iPod will only charge via the iMac and not from a power socket any more. Using it to power a hifi system drains its battery quite fast, and then I have problems getting it back up and running again.
