Miracle Ear Spark hearing aids don't connect to iPhone 16 when answering calls with touchscreen

Miracle Ear Spark hearing aids don't connect to phone16 when answering calls with iphone touch screen. The hearing aids are on "automatic" so they can seamlessly switch from my hearing aids to my 2018 Chevy Silverado. When receiving a call and using the hearing aids buttons to answer the calls connect. If I use the phone touchscreen the calls don't connect to the hearing aids. The previous hearing aids I had connected through either method. Miracle Ear has indicated this is a problem with the iPhone technology.

Whoever you spoke with doesn't know what they're talking about, but it's so easy to get you off the phone and lay the blame with Apple. Apple doesn't own Miracle Ear, nor do they have any control over how their aids work. I have no less than 3 sets of Bluetooth Earbuds. I'm on iPhone 16 Pro Max with iOS 18.6.2 and I can either tap my earbuds to answer a call or open the call on my iPhone, but either way, with all three, the call comes through my earbuds if I answer the call using the controls on my iPhone. Either elevate your concern higher in the tech support chain at Miracle Ear or recognize you need to tap them to answer a call.
