Apple Watch battery drain after watchOS 11.6.1 update

My battery now drains at 12-15%/hr instead of the previous 2-4%

I have tried every troubleshooting step suggested by apple support: Factory reset, unpairing and re-pairing, removing all 3rd party apps, turning off location tracking, wifi, etc

The apple repair locations won't do anything because my battery health is 99%.

This update has made my watch unusable and it's absolutely infuriating.

Is the only solution to wait for the next update and hope they don't screw it up again?
