A single contact has appeared in my contacts that has ALL of my other contacts numbers as their numbers ? Is this some kind of hack? To be clear there is one contact with a list of numbers (all my contacts) listed under this single contact. thank you!

How are you managing your contacts? Are you using iCloud, or another email provider? Did you do anything just before this happened? Also, you are in the iPhone community, but you do not show an iPhone in your profile, just an MBP 15". If you have a phone, what model and what iOS are you using?
apologies, In my icloud contacts, shared on my older MBP 12.7.6 & iPhone12 18.6.2. I'm not sure when it happened, so not sure what I did prior. thank you!
