Screen share suddenly not working in facetime

So on my Apple Pro of the most recent model as of 2022, I don’t remember what it was but it was the 12 inch model, and I was face-timing two of my good friends when they screen shared, and the other friend could see it just fine but all I saw was the one who was screen sharing, her screen was paused and I tried to screen share, and the option was not available when I clicked the button. I could click the ask to share but their names were grayed out.
