Apple watch (10) stand reminders while driving deactivated?

I notice a slew of complaints from circa 2016 about people unhappy that their apple watches would remind them to stand while driving, then no comments either way since. Personally, I would still like the hourly reminders to slow down and stretch my legs, but on a recent road trip it seemed to me that these notifications were sequestered while driving? Does anyone know if the complaints led to such a sequester, with no setting to turn it back on? Thx
